What is the COMPASS Test?

The COMPASS test measures a potential college student's skill level in reading, writing, and math. Unlike other tests, the COMPASS test does not have a "passing" score. Instead, the test is used to determine a student's strengths and weaknesses, which may indicate the need for additional assistance.

How do I take the COMPASS test?

Take a look at Shoreline's COMPASS Testing Center web page to find out:

  • when and where to take the test
  • how much the test cost
  • for how long your Compass score are good
