How to use this guide

Many faculty are concerned that the New York Times is locking down their web content to 10 articles per user.  Shoreline Community College subscribes to the New York Times and the Historical New York Times through Proquest database.

This tutorial shows you how to create an RSS feed to paste into your favorite feedreader, as well as how to find the permanent link to an article to paste into your Blackboard classroom, syllabus, email or other mode of contacting your students.  They and you will need their Shoreline CC email address in order to get access to the New York Times through Proquest at home.  On campus you do not need a Shoreline email address.

This tutorial consists of screenshots and red circles, but there is also a video showing the same material.  The videos are in drop-downs under the main tabs.

Please contact Claire Murata if you have any questions.
