"Acetone extracts of the fruits of this plant showed prominent antifeedant and stomach toxic effects to Pieris rapae L and symptoms were different from those of other insecticides. The extract also showed strong antifeedant activity against Mythimna separata Walker and Plutella xylostella L, inhibited the population growth of Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky and Tribolium castaneum Herbst and disrupted the growth of Helicoverpa armigera Hubner."
